the pink panther

Though not quite as funny as the originals, the STeve Martin remake had me spit/snort water all over myself. Everyone else in the theater was laughing also. So ignore the reviews, if you like the originals, go see the prequel/remake. And Jean Reno is the perfect straight man to Martin's Clouseau. The worst part of the movie: Beyonce !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH Good! What did you think of miss knowles? Have you seen the originals? If you haven't, I recomend starting with 2 or 3 but definately have to watch 4. Peter Sellers has a rather small part in number 1.

2: A shot in the Dark
3: The return of the pink panther
4: The pink panther strikes again.

Okay, I'm very, very afraid of the new Pink Panther movie, but if you deem it kosher then I guess I'll give it a try.

On the subject of Beyonce, I really *want* to like her, but honestly I don't find her level of fame commesurate with her creative output.

I mean, Diana Ross (Beyonce's closest predecessor, if you ask me) put out a *shitload* of albums and had a ton of hits - with the Supremes, as a solo artist, and in collaboration with other Motown artists like Marvin Gaye. Then she went on to a movie career that merited an Oscar nomination (for her portrayal of Billie Holliday in "Lady Sings the Blues").

Beyonce? I can count her pop hits with Destiny's Child and as a solo artist on one hand! (two if you include DC's handful of early hits on the R&B charts that didn't cross over) And her movie career? If you ask me, she moved up to acting far too soon, and what has she to show for it? A crappy Cuba Gooding vehicle, an Austin Powers sequel, and the Pink Panther remake. Meanwhile, from what I hear "Dream Girls" is a mega-flop waiting to happen: there's been all sorts of (bad) chaos on the set.
